Course Description:

While preparing their business plans, students discover their entrepreneurial spirit and pick up the required theoretical instruments. The aim of this approach is to introduce students to the basic tools of management and the interrelation between the different branches of Business Administration.

This course does not intend to offer just “abstract theory”. We, your professors, want to spark your interest and curiosity in the tools we introduce to you. You need these tools to plan your own business ideas in which you describe three years of business activities for your fictive firm. By the end of the term you will have completed your business plan (in teams). This will foster your understanding of typical business processes.

Several professors will contribute one module each to the lecture part of this course. You will get to know us and our respective subjects in the context of your own business story. This will help you understand how the modules that different professors teach, are related to each other.

The course "Introduction to Management" is matched with the course "Principles of Economics".
